It appears Buffalo Bills Left Guard Ritchie Incognito is contemplating retirement from football -- and he has made the announcement on Twitter.
He retweeted telling the Buffalo News that "I'm, done. That's it. It's been a long career. Went to the doctor. My liver and kidneys are shutting down. The stress is killing me. It's just about doing what's right. I just want to be in the Hall of Fame."
ESPN reports the 34-year-old, who spent 11 seasons in the NFL, also sent a tweet to the NFL Players Association and NFLPA Assistant Executive Director of External Affairs George Atallah that he is "done."
However, he told Sports Illustrated that he has been in contract talks with the team and has until Sunday to change his mind about retiring. He also played with the Associated Press, which said Number 64 followed up his text message with a laughing-face emoji and did not respond to further questions seeking clarification.
The four-time Pro Bowler recently fired his agent on Twitter as well. No word from the Buffalo Bills yet on the situation.
If this is not just a contract tactic, it has been a controversial 12 seasons in the NFL for Incognito.
In January, the league looked into allegations that he used racial slurs against a Jacksonville Jaguars player. He also was involved in a bullying scandal in 2013 as a member of the Miami Dolphins, causing him to miss a year-and-a-half of football.
