It's a statement that may best convey the animosity Bills fans feel toward Sunday's opponent: "The Patriots are the Evil Empire of the NFL," said Matt Sabuda during WBFO's Beyond the Playbook.
The sentiment is likely shared elsewhere with the Patriots now associated with several cheating scandals.
"You can take it to the bank that Bills fans will let the nation know exactly how they feel about the Patriots," Sabuda said.
Emotions aside, he says the Bills will have their hands full on Sunday when the Tom Brady, Bill Belichik and the Patriots come to Ralph Wilson Stadium.
The defending Super Bowl Champions present numerous threats. Sabuda places Williamsville native Rob Gronkowski at the top of that list.
"He is likely the best tight end in the NFL."
Sabuda believes the Bills defense will need to rush quarterback Tom Brady if they are going to be successful Sunday. The return of defensive tackle Marcell Dareus from his one-game suspension should boost prospects.
On offense, quarterback Tyrod Taylor needs to repeat last week's performance that led the Bills to an easy win over the Indianapolis Colts.
"This will be big moment for Taylor to show the league what he has on a national stage against the defending Super Bowl champions."
