'Beyond the Playbook': Bills ready to raid Oakland

WBFO News photo

At first look, the Buffalo Bills seem to possess an advantage in talent over this Sunday's opponent, the Oakland Raiders. In WBFO's "Beyond the Playbook," Matt Sabuda says the Raiders also have some talented players, enough to pose problems this weekend.

The Bills need to win Sunday--and the following Sunday at New England--to keep their playoff hopes alive.  They will also need some assistance from other NFL teams.

"If I get into all those scenarios of who we need to win or lose, I'm pretty sure listeners' heads may explode," Sabuda quipped.

He outlined a set of results that could help the Bills chances of ending their playoff drought.

"I think the most straight forward scenario this week that gives the Bills the best shot is having the Steelers beating the Chiefs, Broncos beating the Bengals,  the Texans beating the Ravens. All definitely possibilities. But, as you can tell, the Bills still need some pretty substantial help to get in (the playoffs)," Sabuda said.

"It should be a really exciting weekend of football for Bills fans. One we haven't had in late December in a long time."

The Bills haven't been to the playoffs since 1999.
