The University at Buffalo introduced Daniel White as its new director of athletics today. White succeeds Warde Manuel, who left UB in February to take the AD job at the University of Connecticut.
White, 32, is a native of New Orleans who played basketball at Notre Dame. He comes to UB from The University of Mississippi, where he is Executive Director of the school's fundraising arm. He has previously worked as a coach and administrator at Ohio University and Fresno State.
In meeting the press, UB officials, and athletes in attendance, White said he thinks the university has limitless potential.
"There is no limit to how high we can take UB athletics. That's something that's very exciting to me as someone that has always had aspirations to come to a place where you can make an impact and work to really advance it and grow," White said.
"UB is an incredible opportunity. This is a world-class institution," he added
White is expected to take the reins as AD next month.
