Press Pass: Home design

The March issue of Buffalo Spree explores home design. Five area homes are showcased, all of different styles. In this week's Press Pass with WBFO's Mark Scott, Spree editor Elizabeth Licata says one is a small cottage in Allentown, built by a man on a small parcel behind an existing home.

Another featured home is nicknamed House in the Woods in East Aurora. Designed by architect Fred Houston, the 8,110 square foot home is hidden in a wooded area near Cazenovia Creek.

Mark and Elizabeth also discuss the controversy surrounding last week's demolition of a historic home on West Utica Street.

Elizabeth previews in the March issue an ambitious project titled "Typography of Women" that advances the fight against human trafficking. There are art exhibits, including one in the Horizons Gallery at Buffalo Toronto Public Media, a live musical theater performance and a public forum.

Exhibitions March 4-27 at Horizons Art Gallery at Buffalo Toronto Public media and March 5-April 4 at CEPA Gallery.

Live musical theater performance of "Typography of Women: I Am Not Invisible" at Rockwell Hall on the Buffalo State Campus, March 21, 8pm

Public Forum and open discussion on human trafficking at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, March 22, noon
