There has been incredible development in Buffalo over the past 15 years. Canalside, HarborCenter, the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus and Larkinville weren't even envisioned at the turn of this century. WBFO's Mark Scott is joined by Buffalo Spree editor Elizabeth Licata in this week's Press Pass to talk more about how the city has changed.
Unlike past growth spurts in Buffalo, this latest one involves the re-use of historic structures. There was not as much demolition as in the past. Elizabeth says one prime example of this is along Genesee Street, just off the ramp from the Kensington Expressway, where a block of deteriorating buildings has been restored and are now occupied.
Also in the December issue, Elizabeth writes about an exhibit of photography of the sun and snowflakes at the CEPA gallery. She'll talk about that as well as something called "Art in Craft Media" at the Burchfield Penney Art Center.
