Thousands of people flocked to Buffalo's Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood earlier this month to shop at the Broadway Market for Easter and then for the Dyngus Day parade. But during the rest of the year, the neighborhood struggles. The housing stock is deteriorating, and there is little new investment. The May issue of Buffalo Spree shines a light on this and the efforts of some activists to reverse the blight.
WBFO's Mark Scott has more with editor Elizabeth Licata in this week's Press Pass.
Mark and Elizabeth also talk about what's in and out in gardening and the "small plate" food trend.
They also mention an article in the May issue about WGRZ, Channel 2 news reporter Claudine Ewing, who is profiled.
