In the village of Williamsville, Mayor Deb Rogers has announced the appointment of Matt Carson as a Village Board trustee.
He replaces former deputy mayor Matthew Etu, who resigned on Jan. 2 in a public dispute with the mayor.
Carson has experience in village government, as an alternate member of the Williamsville Planning Board and as a member of the Tree Board. He will serve as an appointee to the board into June.
An election for two trustees will take place June 21, one for Carson's seat and the other for the seat currently held by David Sherman. Rogers is expected to appoint Sherman as deputy mayor at the next village board meeting Monday.
