City of Buffalo Comptroller Barbara Miller-Williams has provided a year-to-date budget report to the Common Council, showing a deficit of $35,435,000 as of April 22.
Revenues are reported at over $341 million, with expenses topping $376 million.
The report says the city's cash funds are projected to land in the negative by the end of the month, and cash disbursements are trending lower than projected, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
Miller-Williams added that anticipated state aid for the city and Board of Education will result in a positive combined cash flow through June. The fiscal year ends on June 30.
