Bunny announces run for Collins Congressional seat

Bunny for Congress
Sean Bunny is running for the NYS 27th Congressional District.

Former Assistant District Attorney and veteran prosecutor Sean Bunny has announced his candidacy for Congress. Bunny says he is the man to beat Chris Collins in New York's 27th District, which includes parts of Erie, Niagara, Monroe and Ontario counties. As Collins faces an ethics investigation, Bunny says his career in public service and as a military leader makes him the best candidate in 2018.

"I'm running for Congress because I believe in public service and I hate how mean-spirited Washington has become," Bunny says.

Bunny was an Iraqi War U.S. Army Ranger and graduated from the University at Buffalo Law School. It would be his first run at elected office.

As the first member of Congress to come out publicly in support of Donald Trump's 2016 election campaign, Collins continues to have the President's ear. Just this week, Collins raised $400,000 at a GOP fundraiser featuring Vice President Mike Pence to add to his already significant campaign war chest.
