DeWitt on GOP Convention: Melania, Giuliani and more

Karen DeWitt

Melania Trump's speech at the Republican Convention sparked twin responses. As WBFO Correspondent Karen DeWitt sees it, the former model exceeded expectations with her poise and passion. That faded when allegations of plagiarism emerged.

While much of the morning conversation is focused on the wife of Donald Trump, Karen DeWitt says the controversial speech was just one part of an active day at the convention.

Former New York City Rudy Giuliani thundered through a speech in support of Donald Trump, sharing some personal anecdotes of the candidate's generosity and compassion.

The throng of support contrasted with a raucous anti-Trump movement that emerged earlier on the convention floor. The push was short-lived, DeWitt says, but it set the tone for what is likely to be several memorable days in Cleveland.
