Jonny Moran

In the days leading to Governor Andrew Cuomo's State of the State address, he continues to release details of his 2016 agenda.

On Sunday Governor Cuomo announced The Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative as his 12th  proposal.  The $25 million program involves a partnership between state and local government along with non-profit and business groups which will create anti-poverty solutions and insert them in the 10 most impoverished communities in Upstate New York.

The ESPRI is modeled after the successful Rochester Anti-Poverty Task Force. The cities chosen to be part of the program are; Syracuse, Binghamton, Oneonta, Buffalo, Utica, Elmira, Jamestown, Oswego, Troy and Albany.
