On Saturday Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the 11th proposal of his 2016 agenda.
Cuomo has launched a $200 million competition among 74 eligible Upstate airports to boost airport investments, create thousands of jobs and further promote economic development. The five airports who submit the strongest proposals will receive $40 million toward their sites. Cuomo says the grants will fund projects that enhance safety, improve operations and access, reduce environmental impact, and create better passenger experiences.
Saturday also marked the beginning of renovations to the New York State Fairgrounds. The renovations will transform the site into a year-around, multi-use facility attracting larger concerts and more visitors.
