Erie County Republican Chair Nick Langworthy welcomes Donald Trump

At a  fundraiser at Salvatore's Italian Gardens Friday evening, Trump called New York's new gun control laws a disaster, supported fracking for natural gas and criticized Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo's tax policies for businesses.

Trump was the featured guest at a $100-per-person event held by the Erie County Republican Party.

The New York City developer has met with Republican leaders about a possible challenge to Cuomo. But he repeated his condition that he'll only run if the state's Republican Party rallies behind him and he faces no challengers for the nomination.
