Primary 2012: Races

Primary 2012 features a challenge for some incumbents in key races. 

For full results click on the links to the Board of Elections in both Erie and Niagara Counties.

In the New York State Senate 60th District Republican Primary matchup, incumbent Mark Grisanti faced opponent Kevin Stocker.  While a three-way democratic matchup for the seat is being held in the Democratic Primary against Michael Amodeo, Alfred Coppla and Charles Swanick.  Grisanti is also on the Independence Primary line against Marie Clark and Brian Siklinski.

In the NYS Senate 62nd District Republican Primary, incumbent George Maziarz is facing-off against Johnny Destino.  There is also a Working Families Primary for the 62nd Senate seat against Amy Hope Witryol and Timothy Moriarty.   

In the NYS Senate 63rd District Democratic Primary, incumbent Timothy Kennedy is running against Betty Jean Grant.  

In the New York State Assembly 146th District Independence Primary. Incumbent Raymond Walter is up against opponent Joanne Schultz.

In the NYS Assembly 147Th District Republican Primary, David Mariacher, David DiPietro, Daniel Humiston and Christopher Lane are battling it out for the spot on the November ballot.   Humiston is also on the Independence Primary against candidate Christina Abt.   

In the NYS Assembly 149th District Democratic Primary, incumbent Sean Ryan faces opposition from Joseph Mascia and Kevin Gaughan.

A Primary is also underway for Erie County Comptroller on the Independence line between Megan Lavin and Stefan Mychajliw

In the race for the South District Common Council Democratic Primary, Christopher Scanlon, Kevin Lafferty, A.J. Verel and Patrick Burke are in the race.
