Developer Douglas Jemal said he hopes to begin construction of his 61 Terrace project this spring.
Final approvals for the $1.5 million sale of the nearly one-acre property located inside the circular exit ramp from the northbound Skyway to the northbound Niagara Thruway were granted in recent weeks by the Buffalo Common Council and Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency. They jointly owned the site, which is currently a parking lot.
Plans for the nine-story building include a five-story concrete parking ramp, with four stories of 148 apartments above.
Jemal hopes to finish construction in 18 months, but said it will likely take up to two years, due to supply chain disruptions and delays.
