WATCH: Gov. Kathy Hochul's ceremonial oath of office

Gov. Kathy Hochul (l) and her husband Bill Hochul (center) with Judge Janet DiFiore
Office of the Governor
Kathy Hochul (left) is ceremoniously sworn in as New York State's 57th governor by Chief Judge Janet DiFiore (right), as First Gentleman Bill Hochul watches.

Although she officially became governor of New York State just after midnight, Kathy Hochul again took the oath of office Tuesday morning in a more ceremonial gathering.

Hochul became the first woman in state history to become governor when she first took the oath of office at 12:01 a.m. She later repeated the oath in a ceremonial swearing-in, seen here.
