Buffalo Bisons return to Sahlen Field Tuesday
After 711 days the Buffalo Bisons return home to Sahlen Field Tuesday evening for a six game homestand against the Rochester Redwings.
After their 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bisons spent much of this season calling Trenton, New Jersey their home as parent-team the Toronto Blue Jays used Sahlen Field as their home base for June and July.
“We’re just so excited to have the Bisons back here in Buffalo,” said Buffalo Bisons Assistant General Manager Brad Bisbing.
Bisons players will find their clubhouse, weight room, training room, bullpen and batting cages significantly upgraded from previous years.
“All the work that was done to bring the Blue Jays here—the jointly funded project between the Blue Jays and the Bisons,” Bisbing said. “To upgrade the player facilities here at Sahlen Field and to really make them the gold standard throughout Minor League Baseball and something that I think our players will really enjoy and really help them get settled in and enjoy being at the ballpark.”
Monday afternoon, the Bisons announced a mask covering requirement for indoor settings within the ballpark and are also suggesting coverings for concourse and outdoor settings.
