26 Shirts presented with New York State Assembly Resolution for charity work

After raising over $1 million in charitable donations, Buffalo-based apparel company 26 Shirts was presented with a New York State Assembly Resolution in recognition of the milestone.

Assemblyman Bill Conrad has firsthand experience in watching 26 Shirts and its Co-Owner Del Reid help communities in Western New York:

“And what brought me to this is when I had a student who had gotten a real bad medical procedure, he’s become a paraplegic,” he said. “Del and his team produced this shirt for him, were able to raise money to help offset the cost of his medical procedures and recovery. So for me, I had a personal attachment even before I was in the assembly, seeing this good work, and I hope they continue to do that for this community.”

For Reid, the communal spirit of living in the City of Good Neighbors has been a thread throughout this business venture.

“We can put all the different designs you can imagine out there on the internet,” he said. “And you know, hope that people buy them but unless people actually believe in our cause and are like what we're doing but like really believe in our cause and want to help the families that we support, we don't do anything.”

Every purchase of an item on the 26 Shirts website results in a donation to a charitable cause.
