Protestors marched from Buffalo's Willert Park neighborhood to gather in front of the Erie County Courthouse Tuesday evening, demanding the resignation of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, Police Chief Byron Lockwood and Erie County District Attorney John Flynn.
The People’s Rally march began at the corner of Genesee Street and Ash Street, the area where Willie Henley was shot by Buffalo Police officers Saturday, after suffering a mental breakdown. Henley was arraigned virtually on two felony counts at the Erie County Medical Center, as he recovers from the shooting.
The calls for John Flynn’s resignation come in part because the District Attorney has yet to press charges on the officer involved in the shooting, Karl Schultz.
