Broadway crash proves fatal for Lancaster woman, five others injured

Buffalo Policed said an East Side traffic crash last week has claimed a life.

Police said it happened in the 1800 block of Broadway. It has proven fatal to a 49-year-old woman from Lancaster.

Five other people were injured in the two-vehicle accident just before 3:20 p.m. on Friday afternoon. One had to be extricated from the wreckage by Buffalo firefighters.

All five were transported by ambulances to area hospitals. The woman who died was a passenger in one of the vehicles.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
