Cazenovia Park splash pad reopens

Facebook

Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown has announced another city splash pad has opened.

The Cazenovia Park splash pad will have the same hours as the three other splash pads: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. through the Labor Day weekend, weather permitting. The splash pads at MLK, Lasalle and Roosevelt Parks have already opened for the season.

In a statement, Brown said with this week's unusually hot and humid weather conditions, this will be a welcome addition for families in South Buffalo. All facilities will be monitored to avoid overcrowding and other social distancing issues.

He said the city is still on track to open more than 60 playgrounds and fitness stations on Friday, but with health guidelines in place, such as a face mask requirement and social distancing. The city's seven outdoor pools will remain closed because of pandemic restrictions.
