If you ride Metro Bus and Rail, be aware the collection of fares resumes Monday. Fare collections were suspended in late March because of the coronavirus. Since then, bus riders entered and exited through the back door.

The resumption of fares means riders will be able to enter through the front door, where payments are made. Protective barriers now protect the drivers.

Passengers must wear masks and should try to maintain a six-foot distance from others. If a bus or rail car is too crowded, passengers are advised to wait for the next one.

Metro officials say intensive cleaning of all buses and rail cars will be done daily and high-touch areas will be frequently disinfected.
