One man is dead and another faces a murder charge after a stabbing incident in Buffalo on Friday morning. Forty-one year old Duane Donaldson died after being stabbed multiple times during a confrontation in a shopping plaza parking lot at Elmwood and Hinman Avenues. Thirty-seven year old Frederick D. Jordan III has been arraigned on a felony murder charge. Buffalo Police Captain Jeffrey Rinaldo stated that officers received a call around 11 AM on Friday.

"Upon responding, they found one male victim laying on the ground and the suspect sitting on the ground. Apparently, some type of dispute erupted over - some type of financial dispute. An off-duty, volunteer assistant fire chief from the Town of Tonawanda heroically stepped in, stopped the assault, and was able to keep the suspect there until polic officers could arrive."

Rinaldo said the confrontation did not involve any of the stores in the plaza.

Jordan faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison if convicted on the second degree murder charge.
