Town of Tonawanda reopens Sheridan Golf Course

Town of Tonawanda

The Town of Tonawanda has announced plans to open one of its two municipal golf courses Friday.

As Erie County and the City of Buffalo have announced in opening their courses this week, there will be strict rules in place for golfers at Sheridan Park Golf Course due to the coronavirus. They include a closed clubhouse, no cart rentals and tee times spaced 16 minutes apart to enhance social distancing.

Tee times must be arranged in advance and cash payments will not be allowed. Golfers must wear masks if social distancing isn't possible and there will be one public restroom open.

At this point the town's Brighton Park golf course is waterlogged. The town will decide if it will open in the coming weeks.
