The Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority Board of Commissioners Thursday voted to submit an application for a state grant to pay for needed repairs and upgrades at the Marine Drive Apartments.
This follows a December decision to approve a physical needs assessment for the seven 12-story buildings.
That assessment found that nearly $7 million is needed to update the complex, including over $3 million for new windows and $4 million dollars for exterior work.
The grant application comes in the wake of the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal issuing a notice of available funds for improvement projects for public housing authorities.
