Two Buffalo police officers injured in rollover crash

Two Buffalo police officers are recovering from injuries suffered when their patrol vehicle overturned early in the morning on New Year's Day. Officials said the incident occurred when the officers were responding to a call of shots fired around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Hertel Avenue and Tonawanda Street in Black Rock.

With the vehicle's lights and sirens engaged, police said the officers' vehicle rolled over after it was struck by another vehicle.

No charges have been filed, but the incident remains under investigation.

Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. - 10 a.m.
