A major winter storm is sweeping through the eastern portion of the US Sunday. But Western New York will escape the brunt of the snowfall. The storm is tracking far enough south to have little impact here. Just an inch or so of snow is expected to fall in Western New York.
Still, travel could be difficult if you're heading by car or air to cities along the East Coast Sunday and Monday.
The issue this week will be unseasonably cold temperatures. The thermometer won't rise much above 15 degrees on Wednesday. More seasonal temperatures in the 30s will return by next weekend.
