While snow subsides, severe wind chills hinder clean up

NYS DOT

While public and private snow plows scurry about the region Friday morning, officials are easing back travel bans in an effort to return to business as normal.  No snow is in the forecast, but a Wind Chill Advisory remains in place until 11 a.m. for all of Western New York. The National Weather Service says wind chill values will dip to 15-below, limiting outdoor activity and prompting many school districts to be closed again today.

Here's the latest statement from the National Weather Service office in Buffalo:

Niagara-Orleans-Monroe-Northern Erie-Genesee-Wyoming-Livingston-
Chautauqua-Cattaraugus-Allegany-Southern Erie-
Including the cities of Niagara Falls, Medina, Rochester,
Buffalo, Batavia, Warsaw, Geneseo, Jamestown, Olean, Wellsville,
Orchard Park, and Springville
