Authorities have identified the body of a man found floating in the water at Woodlawn Beach in Hamburg. Town of Evans Police say the man is Mark Pelgrin, 65, of Derby.
Pelgrin was found Dec. 31 by the Erie County Sheriff's Department helicopter, searching the shoreline along with other first responders.
Evans Police say Pelgrin was last seen at his home on Dec. 2 and was reported missing Dec. 6. At the time, authorities noted Pelgrin had medical conditions that needed immediate attention. They do not suspect foul play in his death.
Pelgrin will be buried Saturday, following a church service at St. Stephen Serbian Orthodox Church in Lackawanna.
