A deadly fire that tore through a Shirley Avenue home on Friday morning has taken the life of an 8-year-old boy.

8-year-old G'Shawn McGee was taken to Oishei Children's Hospital with burns over 80 percent of his body. Buffalo Police have reported that the child succumbed to his injuries overnight.

The death toll from the blaze stands at 3, as 26-year-old Briana Ross and 4-year-old Cianna Jones were pronounced dead at the scene.

Buffalo fire investigators say the cause of the fire was accidental and appears to have started in the kitchen.
