The University at Buffalo Bulls began selling beer Saturday night during the men's college basketball game against Marist at Alumni Arena. UB received state approval for a liquor license on Wednesday.
Athletic director Mark Alnutt says the state university will also be setting up beer stands at women's basketball games and, starting next year, at football games. Alnutt says beer won't be sold near the student section at football games.
Buffalo joins dozens of colleges in selling beer at campus venues, including six other Mid-American Conference schools.
Bud Light and other Anheuser-Busch products will be on tap.
