Labatt Brew House opening this weekend

Labatt USA is opening much-anticipated Brew House in downtown Buffalo this Saturday. The Brew House, a 3,000 square-foot innovation brewery, is a first-of-its-kind facility for Labatt in the U.S. Customers can try new experimental beers crafted by a Labatt brewmaster.

Brand manager Rob Hertenstein says the company is excited about expanding its business in the United States.

"It’s a chance for consumers to experience Labatt in an entirely new way, a way they never have before. What consumers know about the brand is usually our flagships, Labatt Blue and Blue Light. But this is a chance for them to actually see the beer being made. It’s the first time we’re producing beer in the U.S. and this place is all about innovation, discovery and trial for consumers," Hertenstein said.

Hertenstein says Buffalo is the company's top market. It is also home to its corporate headquarters.

The Brew House, next to the Key Bank Center, will be opening alongside The Draft Room, a fast-casual brew pub run by Pegula Sports and Entertainment. Both are located in what is being called Labatt House at 79 Perry Street.

It will exclusively feature a new flagship beer called Labatt Blue Citra, which will be on tap this Saturday.
