Buffalo police officers shot and killed an armed man during a confrontation early Wednesday morning on the city's West Side. Officers responded to a call around 3 a.m. on the 400 block of Plymouth Avenue. Captain Jeff Rinaldo says shots were fired and the man, who was in his early 30s, died at the scene. Two officers were treated and released from ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect's handgun was recovered at the scene. Names have not been released.
