A new Digital Marketing Certificate will soon be available at SUNY Erie Community College. Its President, Dan Hocoy says, the college is partnering with Facebook to offer the program which will be a part of SUNY Erie's Workforce Development offerings. Hocoy says, it will include in-demand digital skills in social media marketing.
"This is a Facebook certificate which will allow, especially, individuals to provide marketing on Facebook and Instagram. But many of these skills are transferable to other platforms." And Hocoy said, that the company is providing the curriculum and the instruction. "For us it's being innovative, relevant and entreprenuerial. And this is one of the ways we stay relevant is by partnering with great companies like Facebook to provide skill sets that are marketable," Hocoy said.
The program will be available to students nationwide through SUNY Erie's distance learning curriculum. Hocoy says SUNY Erie is the ninth community college in the nation to be in partnership with Facebook.
