Buffalo police are investigating two shootings, one of them fatal.
The first one occurred around 9:45 Friday night on Stanley Street near Bailey Avenue in the city's Lovejoy neighborhood. A 20-year-old man from Buffalo was struck by gunfire. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Then, around 2:00 Saturday morning, one person was wounded in a shooting on Buffalo's West Side. It happened near the intersection of Herkimer and Albany Streets. The wounded victim, a 32-year-old man, was taken to the Erie County Medical Center, where he underwent surgery.
