The National Weather Service has issued an Ice Storm Warning for Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Genesee, Monroe, Wyoming and Livingston counties from 2 p.m. Saturday through 2 p.m. Sunday.
Significant icing and gusty winds are expected. About one-half-inch of ice is expected to accumulate.
The storm could cause power outages and tree damage.
Travel could be difficult with ice covered roads and the potential of downed trees, limbs and power lines.
