Two weekend accidents left one person dead and another critically injured.
An early morning crash in North Collins Saturday claimed the life of a young Eden man. Twenty-year-old Joseph Carlacci was killed when his vehicle left Jennings Road and struck some trees. He was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Erie County Sheriff's officials say the crash remains under investigation.
A pedestrian was seriously injured Saturday night when she was struck by a pick-up truck on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Niagara Falls. It happened near the corner of 89th Street. The 65-year-old female pedestrian was taken to the Erie County Medical Center in critical condition. Niagara Falls police are investigating.
