Two Buffalo Police officers injured in 33 accident

Buffalo Police are investigating a multi-vehicle accident Monday morning that sent two female police officers to the hospital.

It happened on the westbound Kensington Expressway near the Scajaquada Expressway interchange about 10:30 a.m.

Two patrol vehicles were on the scene of an earlier accident at the scene, assisting with traffic control, when a vehicle rear-ended one of the patrol cars, which then struck the second patrol vehicle. Both were parked with officers seated inside.

The two officers were taken to Erie County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
