A local pediatric clinic is going above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to health care. The Towne Garden Pediatric Clinic on William Street has been collecting children's coats, snow suits and other items for its young patients.Registered nurse and Patient Care Coordinator Julie Cicero has been heading the collection and says the need is great.
"We have kids who come in with no shoes or wearing adult shoes," she said. "Or no socks, no underwear, no clothes or they’ve just been placed in foster care, and so they only have whats on their backs."
The clinic serves a low-income population. In addition to office staff, Cicero says she gets donations from her family, friends and neighbors.
