The summer season at Buffalo's Outer Harbor is underway. Officials gathered at Wilkeson Point Friday afternoon to unveil the schedule of events. Jonathan Dandes of Outer Harbor Management said chief among them is the Italian Heritage Festival.
"The Italian Festival, for many years on Hertel Avenue, will be here in July. We're just thrilled this area will be teeming with people coming from all over Western New York to participate in the Italian Heritage Festival," Dandes said.
Besides the special events, Dandes says there are things to do each and every day at the Outer Harbor. Kayaks and bicycles are available for rent. Plus, regularly scheduled fitness and yoga classes will be held.
