Early-bird voters aim to avoid lines; worry political tensions will continue

If you ask many voters in Erie County, the early birds avoid potentially long waits later in the day.

Many residents headed to the polls much earlier than in some past elections.

Numerous voters said they do not  believe the political tensions that escalated during this historic election will disappear anytime soon. One Fillmore District resident said she's not even sure four years will be enough time for the political wounds to heal -- regardless of the election outcome.
