The Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will be receiving more than $40,000 through a training grant from the New York State Department of Health. The grant will be used to create a curriculum that will improve patient care coordination even through multiple healthcare providers. The training will also improve efforts for navigating the healthcare system with patients. The ten-week course will incorporate more than 250 participants from the hospital and 17 community based organizations.
The course will be offered in partnership with Niagara County Community College.
