A young girl was killed on Friday afternoon in an accident involving a school bus. Kimberly Moritz, the superintendent of the Springville-Griffith Institute Central School District, notified parents of the tragedy in a recorded phone message. The Erie County Sheriff's Office reports that the victim is a 7-year-old female student, though her identity has not been released.
