More than 3000 NYSEG customers are without power on Sunday afternoon - the majority of them in Amherst and Clarence.

According to NYSEG's outage map, nearly 2800 customers are being affected by an outage in the vicinity of Roll Road and Thompson Road in Clarence Center.

NYSEG is currently investigating the cause of the outage and crews have been assigned to make repairs. Power is expected to be restored around 3:45 Sunday afternoon.

Other outages affecting more than 100 customers each are taking place in Clarence, as well as the Towns of Boston and Orchard Park. Power in those areas is expected to be restored after 4 p.m.
