The office of State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli has released an audit of the City of Jamestown. The audit was undertaken in review of the city's financial condition covering a period from 2012 to 2016. Key findings in the study indicate that city officials have adopted budgets that are not structurally sound, have overlooked developing a multiyear financial plan and that city leaders have not budgeted or accounted for health care expenditures.
A series of corrective measures have been suggested by the comptroller's office.
