A Cheektowaga man has been indicted on charges that he threatened the life of a sheriffs deputy. Justin Haffa attacked a Chautauqua County Sheriffs deputy after he crashed his car last weekend near the Town of Stockton. Reports indicate that the deputy was administering a field sobriety test when the 21-year-old Haffa brandished a knife and attacked her. He wrestled her gun away from her and ran from the scene.

Haffa is facing charges of first-degree attempted murder and second-degree assault.

The deputy was treated and released from a local hospital.
