A wild atmosphere is expected tonight as the Buffalo Bills host the New York Jets at New Era Field. Analyst Matt Sabuda believes the Bills can send their fans home happy tonight provided quarterback Tyrod Taylor improves upon his performance from Sunday's season-opening loss at Baltimore.
According to Sabuda, Taylor "is looking to bounce back from the worst game of his career last week." Against Baltimore, the second-year starter struggled to make the big plays that highlighted his 2015 season.
"I do think he's better than the performance we saw on Sunday. It was just one game. But the turnaround is going to need to start tonight, as he needs a rebound game in the worst way."
Sabuda admits that improvement won't be easy against a Jets' defense that continues to be effective. Still he sees an edge for the home team tonight.
"If the Buffalo's defense can replicate their opening performance against the Ravens, they should be a really difficult challenge for the Jets offense." That Jets offense, of course, features former Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who lost to Buffalo twice last season.
"But anytime you try to base a judgment on one week, there's always a big if attached."
