www.redcross.org

The American Red Cross is preparing themselves for the effects of Tropical Cyclone Hermine.

The storm threatens the U.S. eastern coast this weekend. On Sunday, the American Red Cross issued a statement saying they are monitoring the storm and that all five of its chapters in the Western and Central New York region are on standby.  They are prepared to deploy staff and volunteers to affected areas for a stronger disaster response.

Frank Davis, a volunteer from the Finger Lakes is headed to Tinton Falls, NJ. He will serve in the Jersey Coast Disaster Operations Center as Assistant Director in Logistics.
