Several new offerings will be available at this year's National Buffalo Wing Festival.
The 15th annual event includes a new and improved KidZone, covered on-field seating, and the inaugural Chicken Wing 5k. Race organizer Anne Horan, with Eclipse Multi-Sport said over 200 people have already signed up.
"[They're] going to run through the newly renovated and historic parts of Buffalo along Canalside," said Horan. "We're going to go out to Riverworks, and this course is going to be a USA Track and Field certified and sanctioned course for all you serious runners. And all the runners that just want to finish the race, you're going to be able to flow right into the festival."
The two day event, Labor Day weekend, will also feature a new VIP Party Deck and the new Buffalo Ninja Warrior Challenge. Wing Fest is Sept. 3-4 at Coca-Cola Field in downtown Buffalo.
